Under her own name, Hannah is best known for her warm and uplifting romance, including The Sweet Shop of Second Chances series and the beloved Lonely Hearts Book Club novels. Her historical fiction novels, such as Daughters of Olympus and The Women of Artemis, have also established her as one of the leading mythology storytellers. Her retelling of Athena's Child won a 2020 IPPY Gold Medal.
Writing as Ella Stone, she is the creator of Ravens Hollow Investigations, her biggest and most popular urban fantasy series filled with magical mysteries, sharp humour, and unforgettable characters. Under the pen name H.M. Lynn, she explores the darker edges of storytelling with tense, twist-filled psychological thrillers.
Born in 1984, Hannah grew up in the Cotswolds, UK. After graduating from university, she spent fifteen years teaching physics and music, first in the UK and later in Thailand, Austria, and Jordan. Inspired by the imaginations of the young people she taught, Hannah began writing short stories for children before moving into adult fiction.
Now settled back in the UK with her husband, daughter, dog, and clowder of cats, Hannah spends her days writing stories driven by vivid characters, big emotions, and the kind of heartfelt escapism she has loved since childhood. Whether writing romance, fantasy, mythology, or suspense, Hannah remains devoted to crafting worlds readers never want to leave.
